This past weekend, I ventured out as usual to hit the local garage sales. Now that the weather isn't as miserable these days, they've started ramping up again and I've scored some deals on fun stuff!
However, no purchase has been as wonderful and useful, nor has anything won the affection and "thanks" from Matt as a single purchase I made on Saturday morning for a mere five dollars.
This item now hangs over Piper's crib, with pink and green butterflies dangling from it and plays music when you turn the knob. Yes, folks, it's a mobile. And this simple mobile is like magic in our household! Piper will lay in her crib just looking at it - she goes to sleep without needing to be rocked and wakes up without crying since she's so mesmerized by it. Last night in the middle of the night, when she'd been fed, changed, burped and rocked and was still fussy - all it took was a couple cranks of the music player and she was out like a light. Yes, that was definitely the best five bucks I've ever spent!
