What a crazy weekend! Between all our house renovation projects and everything else going on, Matt and I had what we like to call a Tag Team Weekend. We both had our fair share of projects we wanted to get completed, so we used the WWF Tag Team wrestling matches as an inspiration to get our stuff done AND take care of the Pipester!
Matt started out by taking her for a long walk Saturday morning so I could get the half bath primed and ready for him to paint. When they got back, TAG - I took her for an hour so Matt could finish the job I'd started (and get all the places I couldn't reach). Then, TAG, Matt jumped back in the ring so I could head out to the garage to prime and paint the floor boards and molding. TAG - back to me, and Matt headed out to mow the lawn. When Piper was asleep, we both scurried off as quickly as we could to get as much done as we could in that brief periods of naptime! This went on, literally, ALL WEEKEND LONG! By Sunday night, we were both exhausted and agreed that we are done with the house renovation projects until at least wintertime.
I must say though, that our hard work is shining through - the house is looking great and I'd much rather be at home with my family doing this than anywhere else. Well, let me rephrase that, I'd much rather be at home with my family than anywhere else without them. If given the option, I'll take a weekend with my family and a white sandy beach with crystal blue water, a couple lounge chairs and a personal attendant anyday!
