What a great trip we had - full of yummy food, family and fun! We drove out to Indiana again this year to spend Thanksgiving with Matt's family, and had a great time. It was wonderful to be able to just prop our feet up and relax, knowing that Grandma would keep an eye out for Piper Jayne. We even got to sleep in until 8am one morning!!
Matt's mom and I ventured out at midnight for the heck of it on Thanksgiving night, but turned around and said "forget it" when we saw the lines! We tried again on Friday moring after the big rushes, and came home a couple hours later with whatever steals were still available. Though the car was jam packed full for our return trip, I don't think Matt fully realizes just how much fuller it COULD have gotten had I had the energy to get up early or stay out later on Friday!
As usual, it was great to see everyone and we all enjoyed spending time with Grandma, Grandpa, Great Aunt Audrey, Uncle Mark, cousin Louis and the rest of the Welch/Stepler clan.
