When we ventured out on Halloween evening, we really didn't expect to get far. Piper Jayne had had a cold for over a week, it was quickly closing in on Piper Jayne's bedtime and both Matt and I were cautiously awaiting a meltdown. However, our little pumpkin surprised us! Not only did she do GREAT but by the end, she was walking up to doors, picking her own candy out of bowls and putting them in her bag. Her favorite part was riding in her wagon and playing with all the candy in her bag.
It surprised me how many people asked us "what type of candy can she have" - like a 1 year old is really allowed to eat candy? Though, Matt and I would both quickly answer with "Reese's Peanut Butter Cups" (Matt) and "Kit Kat's" (Me)! Obviously, any candy she got was really for us!!
