Our friends the Jacksons happened to be in DC for a couple of weeks in the middle of their move from Monterey, CA to North Carolina, and we were lucky enough to get a chance to see them for a night. Unfortunately, Matt was in Nashville on his annual "guys weekend" so he missed out on the fun!
Their son Jakob is only a couple of weeks older than Piper Jayne (Ellen and I were due on the same day but she went early!) and the kids had a great time playing together while the adults drank wine and caught up. We tried to do a photo shoot with my birthday present from Matt (a full on photo studio set up) but the kids wouldn't sit still!! It was great to see the Jackson's though and we hope to get a chance to go visit them in NC sometime soon!
