It might be time...

Though I had planned on locking down this site before posting anymore posts, I decided to post this one for all to read and save the other ones I've done (but not posted yet) for after the lockdown.

So, here's a quick update from the last day and a half. Yesterday afternoon, my MP finally showed up! (for those of you who don't know what that is - just google it, but be forewarned). FINALLY - I was making some progress! I called Matt to tell him and he asked what that meant - I said "It means I'll have the baby in the next week or two!". LOL

I went about my day as normal, working from home and trying to get done the few things I had left to do at work before my maternity leave. Then, last night, the contractions started - they weren't bad, but I remember being half asleep and trying to count how long they were. They came a few times, strong enough to rouse me out of my slumber but not so strong or long that I was wide awake. As Matt got ready for work this morning, I told him to stay close to his phone just in case.

Throughout the day, the contractions continued, but they were still about 30 minutes apart and only about 20 seconds long, then they'd go away for an hour or two, then come back. Nothing regular - but definitely contractions! MORE progress! Now, it's 9pm on Thursday night and they've definitely been getting stronger, longer and more frequent over the last hour or two. We decided to go out to dinner for this potentially last night as just the two of us and by the end of dinner, we decided to start tracking the contractions on Tina (Matt's IPhone). (He downloaded an app just to track contractions a few weeks ago). At this point, they're still not regular, but they're coming anywhere from 3 minutes to 10 minutes and from 20 seconds to 50 seconds long. So, what does that mean?

To me, it means that this could be it! This could be the night that our lives change forever and our little Sprout joins our world! We'll know soon enough! So, if you're a close friend or family member, or a Facebook friend - keep an eye out for a text, email or posting! For now, I'm going to take a shower, shave my legs and try to enjoy my possible last evening at home, child free!
