Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Christmas morning was a flurry of activity for the Welch family, but any other way would seem weird and boring!
I spent the night on Christmas Eve at my parents house to be with my mom, which meant getting up bright and early to head home for presents with Matt and PJ. We'd already opened up our pj's the night before so we were each sporting our first Christmas present when we dug into the rest! Piper Jayne caught on very quick this year and before we knew it, she was helping to open up our presents along with her own! After all our spoiling and presents were done, we headed over to my brothers house for breakfast with his family and my mom, then headed home for some quiet before the storm! In the early afternoon, we headed back over to my parents house to meet up with the rest of the crazy family, open gifts and eat, eat, eat, and of course, play some Catch Phrase!

It is complete chaos with all 25 of us there, but that's how it is when we get together for anything, and we love it. I love watching Piper Jayne playing with cousins and seeing them dote on her - they would literally love her to death if they could! And though we tried not to go overboard on presents for Piper Jayne this year, she of course got spoiled crazy by Grandma and all her Aunts and Uncles. (Though, at least they're starting to make up for all the 20 years I've been buying presents for their kids!) Our house now looks like a show floor for Pottery Barn Kids and Toys R Us!
